Why the Name ButterFat?

Well, for one, I love butterfat
(in all its glorious forms and let's face it, who doesn't?), but when it came to naming my company, I wanted a name that would accomplish several things: be extremely fun and memorable and be an homage to my upbringing in a dairy region of northern Oregon.

My writing career began in the mid 1980s. At the time, I was writing lots of poetry and lifestyle articles while working various retail and reprographics jobs. After being published for a number of years, I landed a coveted Technical Writing internship at Cadence Design Systems, an electrical engineering software firm in San Jose, CA. I was soon immersed in the physics-laden world of integrated circuit testing and manufacturing software, a highly complex and fascinating field.

Liz Casey, Founder

I've gone on to write and edit documentation about semiconductors, networking hardware, medical devices, graphic-based entertainment programs, data recovery programs, accounting and payroll software, and IT processes, among others. In addition, I've provided excellent sales and marketing copy for a diverse group of businesses and have continued to write freelance articles for magazines, periodicals, and newspapers.

In January 2006, I launched BWS in order to help clients achieve their marketing and sales expectations in exciting and unique ways. We now have a small crew of dedicated writers who love working with business owners to pinpoint project details and then craft excellent copy, technical, or creative writing that gets results.

For years, I divided my time between homes on the North Coast of CA and Parker, CO, but have recently relocated to Provo Utah to increase business. Want more? Feel free to view my resume.  icon ECasey_resume.doc
